Developments and Such

I received my acceptance into the program as planned and have been put in touch with the other students from the various universities throughout the state that will also be traveling to Athens this summer. Fortunately, I won't have to travel alone; probably only to the O'Haire, where we will meet up. I have a lot to do still before I can actually begin to enjoy this ride: find health insurance that includes "evacuation, death and dismemberment" (uhh why?), purchase plane ticket, fill out and return a handful more documents.

I expect my trip to be particularly exciting considering I'll be in Athens while their economy is collapsing. I'll try to piece together a short assessment of the current situation going on so everyone (including myself) will have some context for the situation and my time in Athens. This is all for now.

The beginning

I won't be posting regularly until late May; however, today was a day of particular interest since I finally turned in all of my application materials for the program. I'm guaranteed a spot since the program isn't especially competitive. I was a bit nervous after turning it in, realizing the finality in writing a $150 deposit check. I'm freaking going to Greece for two months . . .
